PRODUCT IONOF DAMAGE. 25.03.2004 - 4:42 p.m. So...yeah. How you doing, my man? Good to hear. ... I don't think I've said this yet, so here it is: THE STATEMENTS MADE ON THIS SITE ARE INTENDED FOR A RATHER PRIVATE AUDIENCE. ALL ARE WELCOME TO READ AND ENJOY, BUT IF FOR SOME SILLY REASON YOU WISH TO REPRINT OR PUBLISH ANY OF MY WORDS OR OPINIONS, KNOW THAT YOU MUST SEEK MY PERMISSION FIRST. THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED HERE TO NOT NECESSARILY REPRESENT THE OPINIONS OF THE PEACE CORPS NOR THE OPINIONS OF THE JORDANIAN GOVERNMENT. NOW DON'T SAY I NEVER TOLD YOU SO. ... See, I gots to cover myself. Such is the way of the world, mang. . Sandstorm since I last yammered. Not a real sandstorm, cos dunes don't really live around me. I wish they did cos this little feller's jonesing for some sandboarding. Check it. No, but a figurative sandstorm. I'm busy all the time and loving it all the time. Well, most all the time. Let it be known that living in Jordan can be rough. Rrrrrough. Jonathan, bless his fat face, called about a week ago. I hadn't heard his voice in six weeks and so much has built up that after I managed a "hello" I just kinda knelt down and cried. Don't think I've cried like that to anyone for years. It wasn't that I'm unhappy or that I'm even really homesick. I'm just gonna say that dang, the weight of living here is immense. And I miss my brother like crazy. But I love it. My head hurts from all the learning I'm doing. An afternoon of walking the streets in an Arab country is worth a semeter of any history class. This is where I say something real goofy like, "education is everywhere." From the parade of US Embassy folks, to talks over tea, to bus ride conversations, all I do is learn. Radness. . Al Rajif. I visited my next home for two years over the weekend. Alls I got for now is the view is more than you can handle, gringo. I'm 1,400 meters above sea level (Feet?? FEET??) and can see Israel and Palestine from my porch, even though they're over 50 km away. I've never lived in the mountains before, so this'll be fun. Only problem is no football in the streets, cos you'll lose yer ball to Old Man Mountain in half a minute. . It tastes like spring today and I'll be hoodwinked if I don't want more than anything to watch my Kansas City Royals. You have no idea. . I went to Mecca Mall in Amman the other day. Just another freaking mall. Except for the models in the store windows sometimes wore rando-English shirts. One small pink number said: CHASTE REBEL GRACE Another proclaimed: PRODUCT ION OF DAMAGE No further explaination or apology. Dope.
