The oldest Peace Coprs volunteer serving with me is 63. Rad, I say. 25.02.2004 - 4:57 p.m. It was near 70 degrees for the first time since I've been here. A few days ago I saw the first red poppies spring up that signified the very beginning of wildflower season. The hills in my little village of Al Hilalyyah are just as rolling as they wanna be and are essentially treeless, which gives a sharp definition to my surroundings. Here in the next two month or two wildflowers supposedly overtake everything and are just breathtaking. I could draw a sappy little analogy here now that I'm feeling comfortable with my new kind of life. Madaba, once brown and confusing, is now familiar. I'm getting a good sense of mission and what's more, think it's just on target for what I want to do. Future's wide open. Yeah, I'm being a little vague on purpose. I'm writing in my personal journal, but even there I'm only logging a fraction of what I'd like. Point is, I need hours to convey two details, and I don't have that quite yet. If you actually read this, be patient. Better stuff is on the way. ... I watched my first episode of Angel last night. My host family has satallite television. It's bizarre. Last week we watched Titantic. Crazy go nuts. ... Queener - I need your email address please. I think I lost it like a jerk.
